The Principat of ANDORRA, is an small and beautiful Country, with 468 Square Kms. and 45.000 inhabitants. Very active commercially speaking, has a large and interesting range of shops; variety of mountain landscapes; summer and winter (different international sky centers) sport facilities; and ecological geography and actitudes.

Its History, close the Catalonia one, comes from the IXth. Century.

Andorra la Vella is the capital town, where tourist will find big shopping areas, the thermal waters of the international "Caldea" Center, and nearby the nice Meritxell Sanctuary, Virgin of Andorra.

Andorra has also a wide range of romanesque small churches.

Principal Festivities are the "Festa Major" (big Festivity) of different villages: Canillo, Encamp, Ordino, La Massana, sant Julià d’Òria, Escaldes-Engordany and Andorra la Vella, when local people enjoys the "Sardana" (catalan national dance).

All kind of mountain sports you can do in Andorra: in summer and specially during winter time (sky period goes generally from December till March).

National Day of Andorra is the 08th.of September: celebrating the "Aplec" of "Sardanes" at the Meritxell Sanctuary.
