The City of Barcelona, capital town of
Catalonia, is the second largest in Spain, first in modern culture, design and actualized
activities for all ages of tourists. Since 1984 the architectural work of Gaudí, the Park and Palace Güell and the Milà House (La Pedrera) have been declared the Mankinds Heritage by the Unesco. |
| The climate of the City is conditioned by its situation on the Coastal Mediterranean Sea and mild due the large mountains in the North: Pyrenees, which provides it protection from the cold, northern winds. |

Barcelona offers a wide selection of monuments and Museums (Picasso, Miró, Tàpies, National, F.C.Barcelona soccers Club, etc.). The beauty of the Gothic Quarter contrasts with the extensive parks and city neighborhoods of modern design. The appearance of many quarters of the city was significantly improved in preparation for the Olympic Games of 1992. We recommend visiting the Olympic Village, lAnella Olímpica (Olympic Ring) at Montjuïc (Olympic Hill). |
| From Barcelona City, tourists can easily visit (by car, bus or train): Montserrat Holy Mountain; Sitges (little village south sea coast); Universals Port Aventura Amusement Park (90 Kms. south of Barcelona), Girona - Figueres (Dalí Museum) and Costa Brava; or take sunny stays in the beautiful coastal areas, north amd south of the City; etc. |
