The Province of the Islands of Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, Las Palmas, is located in the Athlantic Ocean at a subtropical latitude. As a result the islands enjoy a pleasant warm climate all year round.
The Island of Gran Canaria, the site of the capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, has a marked cosmopolitan character. The infraestructure of the Island places is among the leading destinations in Spain and its concentrated in three cities: Las Palmas, San José de Trajan and Mogán, with the best beaches of fine, white sand. The region’s geography also includes wild landscapes and mountain peaks, with tremendous contrasts.

The capital, Las Palmas, preserves colonial neighborhood: Cathedral, House of Columbus, Canary Museum and the Center of Modern Art.
Lanzarote is the northernmost island of the Canary Islands, famous for the beauty of its strange landscapes, made of volcanic rock. It is the location of the National Park of Timanfaya, the site of important eruptions. The island’s capital Arrecife, preserves its maritime flavour. The tourism industry is well developed in areas such as the Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca.
Fuerteventura is the second largest island of the archipielago. It is an inmense plain of enormous, peaceful beaches of fine sand. The hotel industry have been created in Puerto del Rosario, Jandia and Corralejo Beaches.
The Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife completes the two provinces of the Canary Islands.Is situated further west and contains the islands of Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and Hierro. They are mountainous islands of uneven terrain and high peaks.

These islands, with the moderating influence of the trade winds, have a warm climate (20ºC as year round average). But thanks to the islands great contrasts, it is possible during winter time to enjoy a swim off the coast of Tenerife and then visit the snowy summit of Cañadas del Teide. The mountain offers large xtensions of wild laurel and pine forests, and the rest of the island bears a large variety of fruit (such as the banana) and flowers which maintains the landscape with vibrant colours almost all year round.

The Province contains three National Parks: Las Cañadas del Teide (Tenerife), la Caldera de Taburiente (La Palma) and Garajonay (La Gomera), declared Mankind’s Heritage by the Unesco. The four islands volcanic geological formations such as El Golfo and the Lajiales lava field in El Hierro.
The waters which surround the islands are filled with a large variety of species of fish. They also contain an important school of whales which live between the coasts of Tenerife and La Gomera.

The capital of the Province is Santa Cruz de Tenerife, modern and cosmopolitan city, with luxurian parks and gardens, with intense activity at its port, one of the most importants of Europe.
