La Alhambra

Granada City is a reflection of the Arabic past: You can visit the Alhambra Palace and the Generalife Gardens, vast and enchanting places full of culture, fountains and greenery in a very pleasant climate;from the emblematic Torre de la Vela, the area of the Alcazaba, to the Seat of the Moro Hill, rich views of the city, its characteristic districts ans its outskirts;
from the Patio of the Lions to the Gardens of Lindajara, the Embassador’s Hall to the Patio of Arrayanes, and not forgetting the adjoining Renaissance Palace of Carlos V which houses the Fine Arts Museum, nor the beautiful doorways such as the Door of Justice. Below lies the Renaisance and Baroque City which displays constant reminders of its Arabic past: The great Renaissance Cathedral, the late Gothic Royal Chapel with the tomb of the Catholic Monarchs. Adjoining the chapel is the Sagrario. Nearby, the Madraza (old Arabic University); the Alcaicería (narrow market) and closely the Corral del Carbón (old market). Finally don’t forget the Monastery of San Jerónimo, including San Juan de Dios, San Justo y Pastor churches.

Further away is the Cartuja a must for the visitor. Royal Hospital, Las Angustias church, Alabicín area, House of Chapiz and the Museums of Manuel de Falla and Archaeological completes an intensive visit to this City which is surrounded by rich, densely populated fertile lands with poplar groves and farmland separating the villages.

WHITE VILLAGES ROUTE: Specially from Granda City to the West Andalucia, you can enjoy a wonderful route full of small and whited houses in all their villages, like Ronda, Torcal de Antequera, Antequera, Archidona, Olvera, Arcos de la Frontera, Grazalema, Prado del Rey, etc.
