The Balearic Islands is the Western archipielago of the Mediterranean Sea. EÏVISSA/IBIZA
ISLAND: with capital Eïvissa/Ibiza, surrounded by walls, contains the
best museum of Punic art of Europe. Its called the white island for its traditional
architecture. MENORCA ISLAND, with capital Maó/Mahón, is called the green island and also the open air museum because of its magnificent prehistoric monuments. It also has Modernist buildings. Small beaches and bays, mostly private. |
