València County is a land full of contrasts where the sea and the middle mountains make up a diverse. Mediterranean landscape. Situated 356 Km. (230 Miles) South of Barcelona.

Has beautiful low watered rice fields, named "La Albufera", l’Horta, La Ribera, El Camp de Montvedre, La Safor, etc. The County have three Provinces: Castelló (North, sea side); Alacant/Alicante (South, sea side, beutiful beaches, big touristic infraestructure) and València (Center), where is the capital town, also named València.

 

València contains cultural centers and museums such as the Museum of Fine Arts and the València Institute of Modern Art (IVAM), the Palau de la Música (Music Palace), gardens and emblematic monuments such as the Commodities Exchange, the Cathedral, the Miquelet (tower), the Palau de la Generalitat (Governement Palace), the Serranos of Quart Towers, Santo Cáliz Chapel, Benlliure Mansion, Fallas Museum, the Llonja de la Seda o dels Mercaders, the Desamparados Virgin Basilica, some Palaces (XV-XVIth. C.) and the Santo Domingo Convent.

Big local Festivity on the 19th. March (Patront Saint, Sant Josep –Saint Joseph-) when "Falles" are burn in the street. Varied and rich local gastronomy, specially world known dish: The Paella (yellow rice with seafood and meat).
